As part of his professional work placement overseas, on the MA Scenography course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, Oliver travelled to Kerala, India, to design the set for a large-scale outdoor theatre production.

Working for the acclaimed Indian theatre director, Oliver designed the outdoor set for 'Palm Grove Tales', an adaption of the famous Keralan novel 'The Legends of Khasak.' The design incorporated a real-life jungle backdrop, a stylised circular design, large projection screen and a deep-sunk well, filled with water.
